An interactive sculpture enabling one-way communication over the internet. Messages sent remotely appear in real time, scrolling across the object's LED matrix — a never-ending monologue directed at a single, specific recipient.

The work explores the asymmetry of remote connection: the sender transmits, the object receives and displays, the recipient inhabits the message. No reply is possible. UNIT 01 is the first in a planned series of objects built around similar principles of intimate, mediated communication.
