Lighting design and technical direction for the 2023 edition of No Glucose — a Bologna-based festival dedicated to experimental, noise and electronic music — across three consecutive nights at TPO, Freakout Club and Combo.
With a lineup moving between the abrasive and the ethereal — from Xiu Xiu to NGHTCRWLR, from Prison Religion to Evita Manji — the design language was built around darkness as a structural element: spectral washes, sustained atmospheric haze, heavy strobes and concentrated bursts of light timed to the most physically demanding moments of each set. The approach shifted night to night and artist to artist, but the underlying register stayed consistent — dense, heavy, unrelenting.
